Anything goes - except the standard. No hate speech, no threats, etc. Be civil. I'd like a civil discourse and will enforce so. Be cool and enjoy your stay.
Any sort of hate speech, homophobia, transphobia, etc speech will not be tolerated. You will swiftly be banned from the server. I welcome arguing and asking questions in good faith. Bad faith actors will be dealt with. This is a place to come hang out, have fun and interact with the fediverse. Trolls, etc will not be tolerated.

This won't get you banned, or even warnings...but I really don't want to drive any more traffic to twitter...so please use screen shots or any other method.

SFW Instance
This is a SFW instance. There are plenty of other instances out there that are catered to NSFW content. However, we are not prudes either. Tasteful art, links, etc that are NSFW are permitted. Please use content warnings and spoiler tags when posting NSFW. Warnings will be doled out for those who don't. Same for those who post straight up porn. Again, not prudes here - just use other instances for such content.

Meta / Threads
Currently I do not have threads blacklisted at this server. There are some uesrs on threads that I'd like to follow. However, if Meta / Zucks decides to start dictating how servers/fediverse are to work (ie inserting ads, etc) then we will revisit banning threads. This will be a server discussion and users will have a say when the time comes.

Matrix
Server has a Matrix instance. Download your favorite client - I use Element. Server is chat.the-gathering.space. The same rules apply to Matrix as this server. Any abuse of the rules will result in a ban.

Alt Text
When posting pictures - please use alt text as much as possible. I cannot force alt-text at a server level, so i can't force users to do so. but for the sake of the community - please use alt-text whenever possible.
